Major Turkmen-American Project for Conservation of Greater Gyz Gala Architectural Monument Completed
The project ran for five years and was funded by the major grant awarded for the first time in Turkmenistan under the U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation, the International Program administered by the U.S. Department of State. The National Department for Protection, Research and Restoration of Historical and Cultural Monuments filed the application in 2011 and won the grant surpassing similar government structures of Vietnam, Haiti, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Laos, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Mexico, Paraguay, Tanzania, Ukraine, Sri Lanka and Ecuador.
New project in the racing world was presented to wide public and mass media in prestigious business complex – the Centre of International Commerce, in the Club Complex of Crowne Plaza Moscow.
President of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences Giorgi Kvesitadze, head of the diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan Dovletmurat Muratov, Honoured Journalist of Georgia, political scientist Badri Nachkebia, professor of Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University L. Metreveli among others presented their reports at the conference.
The capital’s Public Organizations Center provided the venue for the research and practice conference organized by Mejlis of Turkmenistan and entitled “The Constitution of Turkmenistan: new historical epoch and national development experience”.
Our country was represented by 11 schoolchildren, who prepared 7 design works, including joint, and won 2 silver and 9 bronze medals. The mentor of the Turkmen intellectual team is the teacher of informatics of the boarding school for especially gifted children Maksat Meredov.

National specialists get acquainted with the international practices on mitigating natural disaster risks
The meeting brought together the representatives of relevant ministries and departments of the country, the international organizations and UN agencies. The international experts experienced in post-disaster needs assessments presented their expertise in PNDA methodology application in such areas as water supply and sanitation, housing and health care, energy and transportation.
Delegation of numerous states will come to Turkmen capital for participation in economic review. Representatives of foreign business circles and leading international companies including old partners of our country as well as ministries and departments of Turkmenistan, local private companies will present wide spectrum of production of different branches of national economy.
