Turkmenistan, Estonia: a new impetus to bilateral cooperation

Convention between the governments of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Estonia "On the avoidance of double taxation and preventing evasion of taxes on income" was approved in accordance with the Article 15 of the Law of Turkmenistan "On international treaties of Turkmenistan," Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan.

This bilateral convention aimed at stimulating of the activity of bilateral economic activity and interaction between business circles of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Estonia was adopted at the intergovernmental level, November 28, 2011 during the visit of the Prime Minister of Estonia Andrus Ansip in Turkmenistan.

At the same time an agreement was signed on cooperation between Chambers of Commerce of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Estonia which laid a solid foundation for partnership in the bilateral format and gave a new vector of dialogue with Turkmenistan and the countries of the European Union.

The visit took place as the honored guest of the Turkmen-Estonian business forum during which among the most promising areas of mutual interests was named transport and communications, trade, science and technology.
