Bronze medals Turkmen of chess players in the international tournament in the UAE
Two bronze medals won at the Turkmen sportsmen international rating chess tournament for juniors under 14 years, which ended recently in Dubai (United Arab Emirates). Winners were students of the Ashgabat Sports School Chess City Sports Committee, the master of sports Saparmurat Atabayev Shanepes and Meredith.
The competition was attended by more than 160 players from 15 countries, including from the United States, Austria, India, Iran, Syria, Ukraine, etc. The tournament was held on the Swiss system, 9 rounds. Our young countrymen by typing in a busy tournament for 7 points won the bronze medal.
Turning to the history of the Turkmen chess players in the performance of these traditional events we note that in 2010 S.Atabaev scored equal points with his opponent divided 2-3 places with him. In that year the owner of a silver award by the way the winner of this tournament was diagnosed with a better rate ratios which was not in favor of the Turkmen chess players. And two years later a pupil deserved trainer A.Atabaev of Turkmenistan winning the second bronze medal he repeated his success confirming thereby that remains one of the best players in the world juniors.
No less capacity in recent years and shows Sh.Meredov engaged under the direction of the honored coach of Turkmenistan international grandmaster O.Annageldyeva. In the long-term asset Turkmen chess players have a lot of international awards.
The honored coach of Turkmenistan Sh.Muratkuliev underlined that the current juniors such as S.Atabaev, Sh.Meredov and many others are the potential candidates for successful performance in the Asian Indoor Games and Martial Arts to be held in 2017 on the playing fields under construction in Ashgabat Olympic Village.
In the late summer early autumn the strongest chess players of the world including the national team of Turkmenistan will take part in the World Chess Olympiad in Istanbul.
