Turkmenistan demonstrates its adherence to the global goals of the world community

The press conference for Turkmen and foreign journalists took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan to highlight the results of the fifteenth session of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan of the fourth convocation. As was reported the national parliamentarians approved and unanimously adopted new laws in draft and statutory and legal acts.

Among them are the resolutions, which are of particular significance for enhancing cooperation with foreign countries and authoritative international organisations, including the resolutions “On accession to the UNECE Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes”, "On accession to the Convention on the Reduction of Statelessness”, “On accession to the Convention on International Exhibitions”, “On the ratification of the amendments made to articles 1 and 18 of the Agreement on Establishing the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development”, “On ratification of the Agreement between Turkmenistan and the Turkish Republic on legal assistance to civil and criminal cases”.

During the press conference the deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan , in particular the representatives of the Committee for International and Inter-Parliamentary Relations and the Committee for Human Rights as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Water Industry, the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan presented their reports to Turkmen and foreign journalists, students and teachers of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of International Affairs of Turkmenistan and answered their questions.
