President of Turkmenistan takes part in the ceremony of opening of the complex of buildings of the Turkmen State Institute of Oil and Gas
The new complex of the institute occupying the 30-hectare area includes the main 18-storey building and five training buildings. 3,000 students will study in 86 auditoriums. The new institute will train specialists for the oil and gas sector in 22 specialties in six departments. The oil and gas industry workers will have an opportunity to undergo the refresher courses to be delivered at the special faculty.
There are an assembly and conference halls, museum, archives, library that contains over 500,000 volumes of specialized literature as well as reading halls supplied with multimedia equipment, the Centre of informative technologies, cafes and canteens, first-aid post, food store and manufactured goods shop.
Six hostels and sports complex supplied with all necessary sports equipment are built nearby the main buildings. The improved territory adjacent to the institute is planted with trees and shrubs.
The Turkmen leader visited the library designed for 250 readers and reading hall, where the President of Turkmenistan got acquainted with the work of the electronic library. The library supplied with the advanced world technologies is connected to the central and other libraries and reading halls of the higher educational institutions of our country as well as the educational centres in America and Europe, in particular, the leading libraries in Turkey. Then the President of Turkmenistan visited the conference hall designed for 800 places.
The Turkmen State Institute of Oil and Gas includes seven faculties: the faculty of oil and gas, geology, chemical technologies and ecology, economy and management, energy and engineering equipment, and the oil industry of the Balkan Department and professional development department. Auditoriums and laboratories of the training buildings are supplied with modern equipment as well as computers, interactive boards and multimedia equipment produced by the world leading companies, including Schumberger, Drilling Systems, Utest, OFI, DOGA, LD Didactic, etc. The rooms for drafting course papers and diplomas are opened at the institute.
From the administrative building of the institute the Turkmen leader headed to the five-storey building of the faculty of oil and gas that includes 20 laboratories supplied with training equipment meeting the high international standards.
The President of Turkmenistan headed to the Drillsim-500 laboratory, where a boring apparatus simulator is installed for the students to carry out experiments and practice.
Then President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov headed to the laboratory equipped with innovative software required for the oil and gas industry. The state-of-the-art equipment is installed there to study rocks.
Then the Turkmen leader visited the Faculty of Energy and Engineering Equipment with 23 laboratories supplied with the most advanced technological equipment to study mechanics, molecular physics, thermodynamics, etc.
The President of Turkmenistan also visited the Faculty of Chemical Technologies and Ecology that includes 20 laboratories, a hostel and centre of information digital technologies of the institute.
The centre is supplied with the state-of-the-art equipment and technologies connecting the centre with similar facilities throughout the world via Internet. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was informed that the centre was connected to the office building of the LG Company (South Korea). Taking the opportunity, Korean Businessmen congratulated the President of Turkmenistan on opening of the new institute.
Cordially bade farewell to participants of the festivity, students and teachers of the State Institute of Oil and Gas, the President of Turkmenistan headed to the other the venues for the ceremonies of opening an apartment house built for the specialists of the oil and gas industry and a kindergarten.
