The issues of careful treatment of the Caspian nature were discussed in Ashgabat

The meeting of the representatives of the authorized organisations on fish industry of the Caspian states opened in Ashgabat. The meeting participants discussed the project on the Agreement on preserving and efficient using the biological resources of the Caspian Sea.

The forum brought together the specialists and experts of the sectoral departments of the Caspian states working in the sphere of efficient nature management in the maritime zone.

The meeting participants discussed the progress in drafting the regional document aimed at preserving the rich natural world of the Caspian Sea guaranteeing the coordinated level of nature management given the interests of economy and ecology of each country. The main goal of the Agreement on preservation and efficient use of biological resources of the Caspian Sea is to create an efficient mechanism of collaboration between the Caspian states in this important sphere.

Discussing the issues put on the agenda of the meeting, the representatives of the authorized organisations on fish industry of the Caspian states underlined the necessity of further development of the contractual and legal basis regulating the various types of work in the Caspian See in line with the goals and tasks on efficient use of economic and tourist potential in the Caspian region, preservation of the flora and fauna of this unique natural complex.
