Visit of IRI delegation

The delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran that arrived in the Turkmen capital leading by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Consular Affairs Hassan Qashqavi was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting the representatives of the foreign-policy department of Iran were briefed on the key vectors of the peacemaking foreign-policy course of Turkmenistan initiated by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov that has gained wide recognition and authority in the world community.

It was noted that, at present, Turkmenistan and Iran had accumulated a solid experience of efficient cooperation in the trading and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres based on the friendly and good neighbourly relations between the two peoples. That was vividly proved by the meeting of the leaders of the two countries in Beijing during the meeting of the Council of Heads of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Member States, where the President of Turkmenistan and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran exchanged their views on the urgent issues of the regional and international policy.

Speaking about the prospects of the trading and economic, cultural and humanitarian relations, it was underlined the efficiency of the bilateral partnership in the fuel and energy, transport and communication spheres. Particular attention was paid to the consultative contacts between the foreign-policy agencies of Turkmenistan and Iran.
