New deposits are under development

Only within five months of the current year, the drillers of the Goturdepe Boring Management of the “Turkmennebit” State Concern have over 3000 meters of above-target headways to their credit. It is considerably higher as compared with the analogous period of the last year.

Commercial development of this prospective deposit was started one and a half years ago, when geological prospecting works carried out in the northern, seaside part of Goturdepe confirmed in practice the availability of rich oil and gas pools.

In the course of deepening of a regular well, not reaching the total depth, the drillers obtained commercial inflow of “black gold” within 4192-4216 meters. In specialists’ opinion, daily output of the new well comes to nearly 400 tons of oil that gives great hope to its availability. It is confirmed by the operators for oil and gas production, miners of the “Goturdepenebit” OGPM.

It is not the first well put into exploitation at the new deposit. At present, boring of another three wells is underway there.
