From the 29th of June to 5th of July, a group of students from the Turkmen national institute of world languages named after Dovletmammet Azady are undergoing an intensive Russian language speaking practice program in Moscow.
The participants of this internship were 18 students from the faculty of Russian language and literature, who successfully passed a two-stage competitive selection. When forming the delegation, the results of comprehensive testing in philological disciplines, level of proficiency in Russian, motivation for learning the language, academic performance, and social activity were taken into account.
The study tour was organised in accordance with the Memorandum of cooperation between the Turkmen national institute of world languages named after Dovletmammet Azady and the Naberezhnye chelny state pedagogical university.
The speech practice program was prepared by Naberezhnye chelny state pedagogical university with the support of the Russian Ministry of education and the «My History» Humanitarian Projects Foundation as part of the educational project «Learning Greatness!»
The internship includes 72 academic hours of intensive training.
During the internship, students participate in lectures and practical classes devoted to the modern Russian language, Russian literature, speech culture, the history of the Russian word, literary local history, and the characteristics of the Russian linguistic worldview. The classes are taught by Konstantin Kalinin and Galina Frolova, candidates of philological sciences and lecturers in the Department of Russian and Tatar Philology at Naberezhnye chelny university.
An important component of the program is the cultural and educational block. Participants will enjoy excursions through the historic centre of Moscow, a visit to the State Museum of M.A. Bulgakov, the historical park «Russia – My History», and an introduction to theatrical arts.
This format allows for the combination of academic training with direct immersion in the linguistic and cultural environment, promoting the development of communicative skills of the students.
Upon completion of the training, participants will undergo final certification, participate in a roundtable discussion on the results of the educational program, and then be formally presented with certificates of completion.
The participation of Turkmen students in the educational program will significantly contribute to the improvement of language training of the students, the expansion of inter-university cooperation, the introduction of modern educational approaches, the creation of additional opportunities for the professional growth of future specialists, and the improvement of the quality of language education in accordance with modern international standards.
