The delegation of Turkmenistan is participating in the international media forum “Islamic Civilization: New Perspectives, New Discoveries”, being held from 24 to 29 August in the cities of Tashkent and Samarkand of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Representatives of mass media, scientific and cultural circles from more than 50 countries are taking part in the forum. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan. 

During the plenary sessions, views were exchanged on the development of the modern media sector, the creation of historical and documentary content, the scholarly studies of historical materials, publishing activities and the introduction of digital technologies. Particular attention was paid to expanding international cooperation and implementing joint projects in the media sphere.

Special importance within the framework of the forum is attached to preserving historical memory, promoting cultural heritage and presenting it to modern audience through mass media and digital platforms.

On 27 August, the international media forum will continue its work in Samarkand, where participants will have an opportunity to get acquainted with the historical and cultural heritage of the city.

The participation of the Turkmen delegation in the international media forum contributes to the further development of cooperation in the cultural, humanitarian and information spheres, the expansion of professional contacts and the exchange of experience with foreign colleagues.
