The 111th meeting of the Economic council of the Commonwealth of Independent States will be held in Ashgabat in September of this year. Deputy-prime H. Geldimyradov reported on the progress of preparations for the upcoming forum at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The Deputy-prime announced the key topics on the agenda. A narrow-format discussion of the priorities of the economic partnership of the CIS countries will take place, along with the approval of the Action Plan for the implementation of the Strategy for ensuring transport security in international transport for 2026–2030.
The Interstate council for standardisation, metrology, and certification will hold an expanded meeting to summarise the work of the council for standardisation, metrology, and certification for 2023–2026, and review the draft Concept for the development of cooperation in the production of advanced materials for high-tech industries.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the consistent and constructive nature of interaction of Turkmenistan with the Commonwealth states and instructed that a high level of organisational support be ensured for the upcoming meeting.
