Having united several years ago, the teachers of one of the children’s art school of the Lebap province created a unique ensemble, consisting of four pipe players. Presently, the “Mukam” ensemble is known not only in the native land, but it successfully grants joy to the people all over the country.

Each of performers – musical teachers by occupation has their own pupils. The ensemble also has its own tutor, in Turkmen – ‘halypa’. He is one of the elders of Lebap Gubally Vellekov, who was 100 last year.

The honorary elder keeps in memory a lot of old melodies, helps musicians to select repertoire, teaches careful attitude to the musical heritage and traditions of performance.
