It was published new collection of poetic works of the great Turkmen classic Magtymguly. Volumetric publication prepared for printing by the employees of the Institute of Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan included nearly 400 productions of the poet as well as earlier unpublished ones in Turkmen language.
The collection starts with the opening address of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The complimentary address of the head of state to readers of the book reflects the feelings of boundless respect, gratitude and pride, being experienced by the Turkmen people for their prominent talented poet-classic. Calling Magtymguly as spiritual healer of the human soul, the nation leader notes that the poetic world of Magtymguly turned into philosophy of the nation, hymn of high love for Motherland, native people.

Fragi opened new page in the history of Turkmen literature, enriched it with national forms of artistic expression and leading ideas of his time, contributed to the improvement of Turkmen language. In 2014, it will be widely celebrated the 290th anniversary of the great thinker and poet Magtymguly Fragi. Within the framework of the solemnities, it is planned to hold International scientific conference “Magtymguly Fragi and universal cultural values”. Its main goal is the assistance further popularization of rich literary heritage of the great Turkmen classics and thinkers, deepening and expansion of relevant researches, attraction of the attention of international scientific-literary community to their poetic and philosophic heritage.
For upcoming date, the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan plans the publication of a series of research works about life and creativity of Magtymguly as well as collections of his works in Turkmen and foreign languages. Moreover, it will be created new documentary and artistic films about life and literary heritage of Fragi and organized the theme television and radio transmissions.
It is also possible to make a pilgrimage to miraculous spring of poetry illuminated the fate of the nation on the pages of new collection, which became the result of long work of the scientists of the Institute of Manuscripts of Turkmenistan set complicated task on creation of fuller collection of works of Magtymguly. Complicity of this work is explained by the fact that it is gone on to find the manuscripts of productions of Magtymguly or information about life of the poet. There are verses, which were known before in oral or written form, but they were not published.
To date, the scientists are familiar with nearly 10 small poems and over 700 verses of Fragi. A bulk of them reached us in the form of manuscripts and other part – in oral form. Probably, these figures are not final, because there are also precedents of valuable findings of new documents. Even fragment of the verse is very important for scientists. Even a line…
All specialists, who were engaged in study of heritage of Magtymguly in different time, unanimously confirm that it is impossible to limit his creativity with the frames of definite literary or philosophic school.
