A concert of Turkmen-Chinese friendship with participation of workers of culture and arts of the two countries was performed in the Big Hall of the Beijing National Convention Center. The Chinese audience heartily welcomed Turkmen artists who performed the pieces from the national musical heritage and the arias from operas of Turkmen and world classical music, popular songs and dances.

A musical and choreographic compositions based on Chinese national melodies was a wonderful present for our Chinese friends. The bright finale of the concert was the breathtaking Turkmen Kushtdepdi dance that involved all concert participants in the vortex of rhythmic music and movements and aroused a storm of applause.

The fact that the concert is timed to the state visit of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the People’s Republic of China, the programme of which includes the top level talks, gives a special status to this cultural event that presents all colours of Turkmen music and dancing to the Chinese audience and provides the two nations with an opportunity to know better each other’s culture and art.
