One of the major trends of activity, being actively carried out in Turkmenistan on preservation, all-round study and popularization in the world of historic-cultural heritage of the Turkmen people is the development of wide international contacts. Visit to Turkmenistan of the group of specialists of the Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination (TIKA) is another confirmation of this fact. Its main purpose is the preparation of new joint project.

In the course of the current visit of the specialists of TIKA, it is planned the discussion of the issues of further joint cooperation in cultural and humanitarian sphere. In particular, in the course of the meeting at the National Management of Turkmenistan for protection, study and restoration of the monuments of history and culture, it was discussed the issues of preparation of the projects of restoration of monuments – burial vaults of al-Hakam ibn Amra al-Gifari and Bureida ibn al-Huseiba al-Aslami, being located on the territory of the State Historic-cultural Reserve “Ancient Merv”. With a view of concretization of the volume of impending works, the specialists of TIKA left for Mary province.
