The venue for the opening ceremony of the Days of Culture of Tajikistan in Turkmenistan was the Mukam Palace of the State Cultural Centre of Turkmenistan, where the high-ranking officials of culture departments, the heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, representatives of the mass media, cultural and art workers and young citizens of Ashgabat gathered together.
The head of the cultural delegation of Tajikistan, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Rukiya Kurbonova welcomed participants and guests of the forum. After the official ceremony cultural and art workers of the two countries performed a gala concert. It should be noted that the cultural delegation of Tajikistan consists of the renowned artistic groups, in particular the dance group of Akasharif Juraev State Philharmonic of Tajikistan, the Gulrez dance ensemble, the Zumhams ensemble of national instruments and popular and folk singers. Many of them have performed on the stage of the Mukam Palace in Ashgabat. The programme of the concert of friendship included folk melodies and dances, the works of the treasury of world music, popular songs and buoyant dance compositions performed by Turkmen and Tajik artists and folk and dance groups.

The Tajik film festival will take place at the Turkmenistan Cinema and Concert Centre during the Days of Culture of Tajikistan in Turkmenistan. Its programme includes the animated film, the documentary film The Bread of Rushton and the feature films Apparent Noon and Ovora. The dance and music groups from the friendly country will perform on the stage of the Watan Cinema and Concert Centre in Ashgabat.
Citizens and guests of the Turkmen capital will be invited to the Mukam Palace of the State Cultural Centre of Turkmenistan on June 3 to the closing ceremony and gala concert of cultural and art workers of Turkmenistan and Tajikistan. Workers of art and culture of Tajikistan will also perform a number of concerts in Lebap Velayat.
