Grandiose festivities on occasion of the Week of Culture that is held in Turkmenistan for the first time with the aim to encourage the creative activity and promote the national culture, its popularization in the world community and integration into the global cultural space have taken place on the coast of the ancient Khazar Sea.
It is symbolic that the Week of Culture is held in the Avaza national tourism zone – a picturesque land of plenty. Keeping up the paces of its growth, construction and busy tempo, the Avaza has become an oasis of friendship and creative communication, a main platform of the festival that brings together representatives of various peoples and cultures.
The cabinet ministers, heads and representatives of the Mejlis, public organisations, ministries and departments, higher educational institutions, mass media, workers of culture and art representing various professions as well as numerous guests, youth and the elders attended the solemn ceremony of opening of the festival arranged at the festively decorated amphitheater against the background of a grandiose sea fountain.
Addressing the participants of the Week of Culture and the International Exhibition of Arts, the Turkmen leader noted that the international cultural event would promote further development of cultural relations between Turkmenistan and the states in the region and various continents as well bringing them to new heights, further growth and intensification of mutually beneficial cooperation.
In accordance with the Decree of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “On conferring honorary titles on occasion of the Day of Cultural and Art Workers and the Week of Culture of Turkmenistan”, the honorary titles were awarded to the workers of culture and art on behalf of the Turkmen leader.
The festive evening on the Caspian coast continued with a grandiose concert performed by masters of culture and art of Turkmenistan, young singers – winners of various national creative contests and best dancing groups of the country on the amphitheater stage.
A fascinating show with laser and holographic effects was presented on in the sky above the sea.
This large-scale cultural event held with participation of foreign guests is another important step towards the further development and enhancement of humanitarian partnership and fruitful cooperation in the sphere of culture as a key sector of life of the country, society and the state.
