President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated the people of Turkmenistan on the ancient holiday Oraza bayramy – the holiday, which is to arose the kind feelings, the moral and spiritual purity and respect for traditions and customs.
In his congratulatory address, the Turkmen leader noted: “The sacred Oraza bayramy is the holiday enriched with the spiritual values that popularize the humanity and charity. The rich cultural heritage created by the Turkmen people within its centuries-old history is an integral part of the universal values. This wealth serves as the spiritual bridge, the link between the past and the present.”
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined the important role of Turkmen thinkers Abdulla ibn Mubarek, Muhammet Gaymaz Turkmen, Abdulla ibn Omar Sarahsy, Abu Sagyt Abulhayir, Mahmut Zamahshary, Hodja Ahmet Yasavi, Nedjemeddin Kubra, who propagated justice, honesty, benevolence and created the precepts – to be generous, discreet and magnanimous.
“The respect for the values, which link and unite generations, enrich and popularize the national traditions, increase the people’s creative potential, are the main criteria that determines the harmonious development of the modern Turkmen society. Based on this historical reality, we maintain the traditions of our ancestors, their spiritual way in a worthy manner. Observation of the month of Oraza that purifies and fills our soles with illumine and blessed Gadyr gijesi justify to the great importance that the Government attaches to development of our society based on the high principles of humanity”, said the President of Turkmenistan in his congratulatory address.
