President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited military unit 1001 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after Myalikguly Berdimuhammedov in Ashgabat, where he attended the opening ceremony of the new building complex of the military unit and the training centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It should be noted that a remarkable event– the inauguration of the bust of an honorary veteran of law enforcement forces erected in front of the central building of the military unit named after him - anticipated the Turkmen leader’s visit. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov presented the battle standards to the commanders of military units 1001 and 1002 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and congratulates them on the remarkable event.
The President visited the history museum, barracks, medical room, library, dining room, culture centre and gyms of the military unit and attended the road safety lessons.
The President presented the keys to a fire engine and an ambulance, which were donated to the military unit.
The Turkmen leader visited an exhibition of military equipment and machines, which were used by law enforcement agencies in different years. The sculpture of an Ahalteke horse Sasoyen in the parade harness was presented to the leader of Turkmenistan on behalf of the personnel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. After a festive concert concluded, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov cordially bade farewell to those present and left the building of the military unit.
