The final round of the "Ýaňlan, Diýarym!" Contest among young singers that is traditionally held on occasion of the main holiday of our country - the Day of Independence took place at the Ashgabat amphitheater.
Every year, the creative contest is held within the framework of the "Türkmeniň Altyn asyry" Contest announced by President of Turkmenistan Gurbangly Berdimuhamedov. The artistic marathon among the young singers was organized by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, the State Committee of Turkmenistan for TV and Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography as well as khyakimliks of Ashgabat and the regions.
Hundreds of bright and talented singers from all regions of our country as well as artists of various groups, students of the institutions of higher education and colleges, young servicemen, workers of the sphere of culture and other sectors participate in the artistic marathon every year to become the winner of the contest that is popular among the youth.
The winners of the qualification tournaments held in Ashgabat and all regions of the country participate in the final gala concert of the "Ýaňlan, Diýarym!" Contest.
Addressing the contest participants, the President of Turkmenistan underlined the inestimable contribution of the contest in revealing new talents and ensuring the further prosperity of the Turkmen culture.
For all finalists, the gala concert becomes another chance to gain popularity at the national stage of the country. The jury evaluated the young artists' vocal skills, the originality of performance and artistic skills.
Summing up the contest, the organizers noted that this grandiose creative contest attracted more and more young talented artists with every passing year. All necessary conditions are created in our country to practice the inspired artistic labour and reveal talented singers and musicians, who increase the glory of the Turkmen musical art with their mastership following the traditions of famous professional bahshis, original musicians and singers of national songs.
The fundamental reforms and large-scale work taken place in our country, the succession of the musical and singing works which enrich the spiritual and cultural treasury house of the nation are reflected in the songs and musical compositions of the epoch of might and happiness.
According to the contest rules, the young talented artists performed two songs each. By tradition, all participants of the artistic marathon performed the song "Ýaňlan, Diýarym!" in the final of the contest.
Under the storm of the spectators' applause, the special diplomas and monetary prizes were awarded to the winners of the contest on behalf of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
