According to Decrees of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the basis of decision of Committee for International prizes named after Magtymgyuly home and foreign workers of science and culture have been awarded with International prize named after Magtymguly.

Prize-winners are Sasakava Sasaki Yoshiaki a counselor of the World Fund, Victor Nikolayevich Pilipko- doctor of historical sciences (Institute of archeology of Russian Academy of Sciences), Carlo Lippolis –doctor of archeological sciences (Center on archeological explorations and excavations of Turin), professor Barbara Kaim- doctor of historical sciences (Institute of archeology of Warsaw university),poetess Amangozel Shaguliyeva (“Literature and art” newspaper).

International Prize was conferred for special services in development of national literature, culture and art, studying of history and cultural heritage as well as long term research activities, archeological discoveries in the territory of Turkmenistan.
