Within the frameworks of the II International festival “Theatrical art of happiness epoch”, Ukraine was represented by Poltava academic regional puppet theatre, which performed to Turkmen spectators the fairy-tale of jungles “Little tiger Petrik”. The spectacle created by director D.Nuyanzin on the basis of polish dramatists’ plays A.Yanushevski and I.Vilkovski, was warmly welcomed by children and elders.

The act of the fairy-tale transforms spectators into the African tribe that worshipped the power of courage. Little tiger Petrik is afraid of everything, but is eager to become courageous. In search of courage he meets various animals, which try to teach him courage, but all in vain. Once Petrik’s mother falls ill and he was to call a healer who lived behind high mountains and long river. And then, having forgot the fear, passing through all obstacles, little tiger brings a healer, and saves the life of his mother.

Bright play transfers the atmosphere of African exotics with the help of music, costumes, masks and decorations. This fairy-tale teaches children to be self-courageous and careful attitude to close relatives.

- Close and warm bonds of friendship and artistic contacts bring us together with Turkmenistan, - says the theatre director Irina Chernikova. – We are happy to introduce Turkmen spectators with Ukrainian theatrical art, share with Turkmen masters an artistic findings and achievements in this sphere. The main idea of the play “Little tiger Petrik” – is the bringing up of responsibility, aptitude to adopt right decisions, even one is little. Wise tale says that one becomes brave when one forgets about himself and thinks only about others, those who need help, and this brings power, boldness and courage. The play is actual and wherever we perform it, we always find warm response in children’s hearts.

Children liked the end of the play very much, they were happy for brave Petrik, and standing together on their feet applauded to Ukrainian artists, who presented them this holiday. In a warm friendly atmosphere, artists exchanged with souvenirs: graceful statuette of Akhalteke racer will always remember the Ukrainian actors about warm welcome on the Turkmen land, and a puppet in Ukrainian dress will stay at the Turkmen state puppet theatre.
