The final round of the art contest founded to enhance fame of Ahalteke horses was held in the exhibition hall of the State Academy of Fine Arts.
The organizers of the contest in honour of Turkmen Horse Day, which is celebrated on the last Sunday of April, are the Turkmen Atlary State Association, the Ministry of Culture, the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography, the Art Fund of Turkmenistan, the Turkmen State Publishing Service and the Turkmenhaly State Association.
500,000 works created by artists from Ashgabat and the regions were presented at the exhibition. These include the works of various genres - painting, drawing, photography, carpets, ceramic articles, sculptures, horse harness inlaid with precious and semiprecious stones, gold and silver.
The ceremony of awarding art contest winners will take place in the framework of the Turkmen Horse Day celebrations.
