Within the framework of Week of Culture, taking place in the northern region of the country, it was held a presentation of new edition of works of Magtymguly Phyragy in the Azerbaijani language.
Officials and representatives of the Institutes of humanitarian trend of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, higher educational establishments of the country, journalists, workers of culture and art as well as foreign guests, who participate in Week of Culture, student youth have gathered for participation in the solemn ceremony in the conference hall of Agricultural Institute in Dashoguz.
New collection was presented by deputy director of the Institute of Manuscripts of the National Academy of Sciences of Republic of Azerbaijan Pasha Kerimov and employee of the Institute of Literature of Azerbaijan, philologist and specialist in Turkic philology Osmanly Ismihan Magammet ogly, who specially arrived in Turkmenistan with this mission.
Edition devoted to the 290th anniversary of great Turkmen poet and thinker was created on the basis of the Turkmen two-volume edition of works of Magtymguly. The representatives of scientific circles of Azerbaijan informed the participants that presentations of new collection were successfully held in Baku.
They also informed that recently, in storerooms of the Institute of Manuscripts of Azerbaijan, it was found the collection of poems of Magtymguly (lithography) dated from 1888 and supposedly printed in one of the printing establishments of Bukhara.
In the delivered reports, it was underlined the significance of current event in development of traditional Turkmen-Azerbaijani humanitarian contacts, relations of friendship of two people united with spiritual community.
