The grandiose festival – the Week of Culture and the international art exhibition arranged in its framework closed in Dashoguz. The large-scale forum brought together cultural and arts workers from Turkmenistan and foreign countries.



The finale of the art festival was the gala concert of foreign guests and well-known Turkmen soloists, young pop singers and young stars of Turkmen arts – laureates of the national and international art contests, famous dance ensembles and folk groups from all over the country. It gave young talented singers from Azerbaijan, China, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan an opportunity to present their brilliant performance.



Concert participants performed folk melodies, modern rhythms and lyrical vocal works. The adornment of the gala concert programme were the choreographic compositions and folk melodies performed by the popular dance ensembles from our country. The performance of the ancient folk dance ‘kushtdepti’ – some kind of symbol of indissoluble ties between different epochs and generations – by all concert participants added bright colours to an enthusiastic atmosphere. A patriotic song concluded the gala concert.



Melodies and songs of the art and culture festival that was going down into history on that day were heard in ancient Dashoguz until late in the night. In accordance with the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan, the next Week of Culture will take place in Lebap Velayat. The countdown to its opening ceremony in the eastern region of our country will start tomorrow.
