Ensemble of violinists “Mukam” performed in Saint Petersburg, where they stayed from June 22 to 27 within the framework of realization of the Turkmen-Russian interstate agreements in humanitarian sphere.
In the performance of ensemble in old mansion of princes Beloselski-Belozerski, it was sounded the productions of Turkmen composers as well as European and Russian musical classics. The audience awarded “Mukam” ensemble with storm of applauses, bunches of fresh flowers.
Cordial welcome was also rendered to the Turkmen ensemble in Saint Petersburg Agrarian University, where young violinists gave a concert and were awarded with letter of commendation on behalf of leadership of the higher educational establishment.
Turkmen music was also sounded over Neva spaces, because our musicians performed it in open ground of boat, traveling over main river artery of the city and even on legendary ship “Aurora”. These improvised performances attracted the attention of audience, having considerably expanded the number of admirers of “Mukam” ensemble. Participants of this ensemble – are pupils of special musical boarding school at the Turkmen National Conservatory. People’s Artist of Turkmenistan Garold Neymark is creative director of this ensemble. The ensemble is 36 years and during this time it repeatedly becomes a winner of contest of the President of Turkmenistan “Turkmenin altyn asyry”, laureate of prestigious international festivals.
