Recent graduate of the Turkmen National Conservatoire and presently young teacher Selbi Niyazova became the participant of the first seminar-forum for young composers and musicologists from CIS countries “Strategy – 21”, which was held on the coast of Baltic Sea in Kaliningrad and Svetlogorsk under the aegis of Youth department of the Union of Composers of Russia.
Participants of this grandiose creative event of the year presented original musical culture of their countries. Our talented compatriot, who delivered a report on topic “Sources of Turkmen music and folklore”, also attracted the attention of organizers of the forum – eminent Russian musicians. Report of Selbi was replenished with video-presentation on history of the Turkmen music art, its outstanding representatives.
Chairman of the Youth department of the Union of Composers of Russia Yaroslav Sudzilovski spoke the following about Turkmen participant of the forum: “Young Turkmen composer represented with pride the music, culture and art of her country. Selbi Niyazova is the talented musician. In her creativity, it is opened the centuries-old stratum of unique beautiful Turkmen culture, its amazing colors and spiritual purity”.
Several days prior to this festival of folk music on amber-colored coast of the Baltic Sea, Selbi Niyazova represented our country in Ruza situated near Moscow. Here, in House of composers’ creativity, it was held annual seminar. Under its aegis, it was organized the training courses for upgrading professional skills of young composers and musicologists from CIS countries.
Author’s performance of musical production created during these two weeks of seminar’s work, became one of the conditions. It was not difficult for Selbi Niyazova to fulfill this task. Owing to the creative inspiration and wonderful diligence, she has created “Trio for violin, clarinet and piano-forte”.
All début productions of participants of the seminar composed musical program of the concert, which was held later in Moscow, in Reception room of Yurgenson – the first publisher of works of Chaikovskiy. Great grandson of this legendary individual in music world Boris Yurgenson organized the concert, which became traditional and original “training initiative” for young composers from CIS countries.
Being a student, Selbi Niyazova worthily represented our country at the International contest of modern music “Composer of XXI century” in Russia, where she was awarded with the title “Winner of the second class award”.
