The Days of Culture of Turkmenistan are being held in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation these daysThe opening ceremony of the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan took place at Musa Jalil State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.
The delegation of Turkmenistan that includes the representatives of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, theatres, museums, cultural centres, mass media and artistic higher educational institutions of our country arrived in Kazan to participate in the cultural event. Among them are the famous workers of culture and art, poets and artists as well as young amateur performers.
The participants, including representatives of the sphere of culture of Tatarstan, prominent artists and cultural workers, journalists and Turkmen students getting their education at the higher educational institutions in Kazan as well as numerous art admirers extended genuine warmth and hospitality, welcoming the delegation of artists from Turkmenistan.
On behalf of President of the Republic of Tatarstan R. Minnikhanov, government officials and the people of Tatarstan, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan A. Sibagatullin greeted participants of the cultural event.
After the opening ceremony had concluded, cultural and art workers of Turkmenistan held the concert, the programme of which was composed of the works from the treasury of Turkmen and world music. Folk melodies, buoyant dances, colourful compositions presenting the customs and rituals of our people captured the spectators, who warmly and loudly applauded every artist. The concert programme included the brilliant performances of Turkmen bagshis and songs based on the poems by Magtymguly Fragi.
Citizens and guests of the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan welcomed with admiration Mengli dance ensemble and Dagdan folk and dance group. The culmination of the concert was the performance of the ancient ritual dance kushtdepti that enchanted the audience with its powerful energetics.
The final chord of the festival of friendship and creativity was a patriotic song “Turkmenistan”. The mastership and brilliant talent of our artists were rewarded by the audience with thunderous applause and flowers.
