A festive concert dedicated to the third anniversary of election of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the second term took place at the Palace of Mukams of the State Cultural Centre.
Having become a symbol of the unity and solidarity of the Turkmen people and the national leader, the dates of February 12 and February 17, 2012 became landmarks in the history of our country.
A book exposition and exhibition of works of the fine, decorative and applied arts arranged at the foyer of the Palace of Mukams vividly demonstrated the achievements of the country. The works by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, including multivolume encyclopedia "Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan", the book "Turkmenistan - the land of healing" and works dedicated to Akhalteke horses and Turkmen carpets were presented at the exposition.
Cabinet ministers, deputies of the Mejlis, heads of ministries and departments of the country, representatives of the scientific and ecucational institutions, public organisations, mass media, and the elders attended the concert.
The festive concert started with an inspired song «Sohraty äleme seýran Arkadag!» that glorifies the Turkmen leader. The song was performed by the choir and symphony orchestra of the Turkmen national conservatoire.
Famous musicians and singers, popular artists, folklore, dancing and children's groups performed the melodies of the classical Turkmen music and modern songs glorifying the native land, its beauty and power.
The final chord of the festive concert was a song «Ak ýoluňyz bagta perman, Arkadag!» performed by all participants of the show. The inspired words and music reflected our people's feelings of proud and happiness for independent neutral Turkmenistan led by its leader – President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
