Festive concert at Maslahat Kosgi

A festive concert performed by artists and cultural workers of our country at the magnificent Palace of Assembly Maslahat Kosgi was one of the brightest events in honour of State Flag Day of Turkmenistan.

The spectators, who gathered together in the auditorium, included the heads of Mejlis, cabinet ministers, representatives of public organisations, foreign ambassadors accredited in our country, the elders, representatives of ministries and departments, higher educational institutions, research institutions, the media, students and foreign, visitors who were visiting Turkmenistan these days.

The festive concert began with the literary and musical performance Baky parla, parahatlyk Baýdagy! presented by the singing and musical group of the honour guard battalion of the Ministry of Defence, theatre artists and dance group.

The children’s artistic groups Satlyk, Galkynys, Josgun and Ruhubelent cagalar presented the colourful performance Joşup saýrar nesiller.


The concert programme included the performances of the best artistic groups from all the regions of our country, popular artists and folk singers, who showcased the achievements of Turkmen arts.

The performances of art and cultural workers were supplemented with the video films about the landmark events in the versatile life of the Turkmen state and society.

The festivities and concert dedicated to State Flag Day of Turkmenistan took place in the south of the capital of Turkmenistan nearby the giant flagpole, on the top of which the green banner of the independent neutral Turkmen state was flying.

Music, folk dances and songs glorifying the independent motherland and its sacred symbol were performed on the square in front of the flagpole, located in one of the most picturesque parts of Ashgabat.

The fireworks concluded the festivities. The fountains of sparkling inflorescences illuminated the night sky over the white-marble capital with myriads of bright lights.

The festivities in honour of the national holiday were in all the towns and villages of the country.
