In Turkmenabat, in Lebap vilayet library, it was held the creative meeting devoted to the poet, laureate of the State Prize of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly Gurbannazar Ezizov, who would be 75 years old in this year.

Romantic by nature and subtle lyricist, poet, who tragically early departed this life, remain young forever in the hearts of numerous admirers of his creativity.

He was born on the first day of spring, a year before of the war, in the family of village teacher. In spare time, his father was engaged in jeweler’s art, and feeling of beauty and creative abilities were passed to his only son. Young author was very proud, when his first poems written in the school years appeared on the pages of children’s newspaper. In the sixties and seventies of the last century, the young poet brightly made himself known in the Turkmen literature…

When he was 21 years old, Gurbannazar Ezizov wrote a poem “Dream”, where fatefully sounds the last strophe:

If it will be possible in the Universe,
New me is fated to glimmer as star -
I’ll live with only dream:
Still to see the land of envoys!

His inspired poem became inextinguishable star, which light will always attract new generations of native land.
