The closing ceremony of the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan took place in the Big Hall of A. Maldybaev Kyrgyz National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.
For three days, the delegation of our country presented national music and popular songs, specimens of applied and decorative arts, pieces of jewellery, carpets and picturesque paintings to the Kyrgyz audience. The visit programme of the Turkmen delegation to Bishkek included the meetings at the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of Kyrgyzstan. Cultural and art workers of the two countries discussed the prospects of cooperation.
The spectacular finale of the large-scale cultural action was the gala concert of cultural and art workers of Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan. Deputy Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism B. Sekimov welcomed those present.
The programme of the gala concert included the performances of famous soloists and artistic groups. By tradition, the joint performance concluded with the Turkmen national dance kushtdepdi that brought together Turkmen and Kyrgyz artists. The representatives of the fraternal peoples, the successors of the great poets and scholars and the legendary heroic epics Gerogly and Manas glorified the ideas of peace and creation, hospitality and good neighbourliness.
