The International University for the Humanities and Development will run the Open Internet Mathematical Olympiad from May 5 to May 8. Foreign students are welcome to participate.  As informed by the University’s Organizing Committee, some 600 people from 17 countries have already applied for registration.

The official language of the Olympiad is English. It will include both individual and team events. The contestants will be divided into two groups for the individual round: mathematics and informatics students, and those who are not majoring in ‘the queen of the sciences’. They will be tasked with doing 6 problems in 240 minutes (4 hours).

For the team event, each team must be made up of no more than four students. The two-hour competition will consist of 10 problems.

Necessary information can be found on the University’s official website at iuhd.edu.tm. The results will be announced at the closing ceremony of the Open Mathematical Olympiad on May 8.
