Gaudeamus sounds proudly around the world

Every year from 10th to 17th November there is a student week of struggle for peace and friendship. It ends with the celebration of International Students Day. As a rule, on these days the student anthem "Gaudeamus" is played at all events.

In 1946, at the World Congress of Students in Prague, it was decided to celebrate this day annually. Since then, it has been celebrated all over the world, and although it is celebrated in different ways everywhere, it is very popular with young people. The popularity is due to the fact that the holiday is associated with romance and fun.

Students and youth of Turkmenistan, as well as their peers around the world, do not bypass this day. Thousands of students studying both within the country and abroad meet this day with exemplary study, participation in various conferences and seminars, success in scientific, social, cultural and sports spheres.

It is especially pleasant when students from Turkmenistan show themselves brightly not only in their studies, but also as mature citizens, worthy representatives of their people. It is joyful to read information in the media, watch news on television about Turkmen students demonstrating civic maturity, patriotism and even personal courage. And there are many such examples, since today the youth of Turkmenistan is studying in many countries of the world. Some of them want to mention.

Many students of Turkmen universities also show their best qualities. Let us recall the same Polina Guryeva, the first Olympic medalist of independent Turkmenistan. Her success has inspired thousands of teenagers to play sports.

Dozens and hundreds of students differ in their performances and works in the framework of international conferences, Olympiads and other competitions. It is gratifying that among these there are many students of our university - IMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

There are practically no events for university students to be left without awards, prizes and incentives. For example, the teachers of the institute in this regard note the successes of the third-year student of the faculty of international journalism Tavus Akdzhaeva, who not so long ago became a prize-winner of a creative competition among students of the country's universities. Her work, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan, was recognized as one of the best.

Quite recently, in an interview with the Turkish state TV channel TRT World, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov spoke about our students and the younger generation: “Our youth, inspired by the example of great ancestors, achieve high results in scientific activity. Young Turkmen citizens become prize-winners and winners of international Olympiads in various disciplines, take places on the pedestals of the largest sports competitions in the world. Our state financially supports the desire of young people to achieve heights in education, science, sports. "

Such a high assessment inspires students and us teachers of the country's universities to new successes for the benefit of our people and the sacred Motherland.
