The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan invites students of higher educational institutions of the country to take part in a photojournalism competition dedicated to the International Day of Neutrality.

The competition called "Turkmenistan - the country of neutrality" is open to students studying journalism, as well as other areas of training in universities. Accordingly, the participants will be judged by the jury in two categories.

The task of the contestants is to take photographs on the following topics: “Happy residents of a strong state”, “Perfect youth of the country of progress”, “Ashgabat is a city, a messenger of peace throughout the world”, “Architectural art of Arkadag”, “National traditions and history”. Students can submit one or more thematic photographs.

Registration of participants and acceptance of works is carried out by e-mail hgi.hzdek@gmail.com. When registering, you must indicate brief information about yourself: name, university, year of study, specialty, e-mail address. After registration, each participant will receive an identification number (for example, 001), which will need to name the photo and then send it to the specified address. If a participant submits several pictures, a numbering is added to the ID (for example, 001_1.jpg, 001_2.jpg, etc.). Photographs designed in this way must also be submitted on electronic media (CD / DVD) to the IMO of the country's Foreign Ministry.

When evaluating photographs, criteria such as the correspondence of the image to the topic, semantic saturation, the combination of colors and shades, the angle of shooting, the originality of the photo frame, and the absence of plagiarism will be taken into account. Photos submitted for the competition must not have been previously published on web sites.

The authors of the best photographs will receive diplomas, certificates of honor and valuable prizes. In addition, the works of the winners will be published on the official website of the IMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan www.iirmfa.edu.tm.

Among the main goals and objectives of the competition is to conduct an independent monitoring of the quality of training for photojournalists, to assess the competence of students in the field of using the possibilities of information technology in the context of modern digitalization of education.

The photo competition is also designed to stimulate interest in creativity and the chosen profession, to identify talented and capable participants, to increase the love and respect of young people for their homeland and the glorious history of the country.
