Eight students of Turkmen universities became silver medalists of the International Olympiad "MagistriUm", held by Kazan Federal University (Kazan, Russian Federation).
According to the results of the second (final) stage of the Olympiads in the philological direction within the framework of "MagistriUm", students of the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after D. Azadi and the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov won second places in the competition.
Five prize-winners from D. Azadi TNRIM were determined in the direction of the Olympiad "Theory and methods of teaching the disciplines of the philological cycle (Foreign languages)". These are Lachin Shamukhammedova, Eziz Mollaev, Bakhar Torayeva, Aigul Charyeva and Aigul Taganova, who distinguished themselves in knowledge of the English language and literature.
Bibimariam Usmanova, a student of a language university, showed good preparation in Arabic, speaking in the “Oriental Studies” profile of the Olympiad.
Two second prizes were given to the students of the TSAU named after S.A. Niyazov - Gurbansoltan Redjepova and Yaran Khudaiberdiyev. These students participated in the Global Governance and Leadership: Languages and Culture show.
The Olympiad was held in Russian and English. It included original creative tasks and tasks of a high level of complexity, compiled taking into account the requirements of educational standards of the relevant areas of undergraduate and specialist studies. About a thousand Russian and foreign students took part in the Olympiads in the disciplines of the philological cycle.
The intellectual review traditionally covers a wide range of areas, giving participants the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge in various fields - mathematics, chemistry, biology, ecology, computer science, physics, history and others.
"MagistriUm" is held annually for graduate students in the areas of undergraduate (3-4 years), specialist (4-5 years) and university graduates from the regions of the Russian Federation and foreign countries who wish to continue their studies in the master's program at a Russian university and its structural divisions. The results of the winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad are counted by the selection committee at the entrance examinations.
The Olympiad is held with the aim of identifying and developing creative abilities and interest in science among talented young people, stimulating educational, cognitive and research activities of students, creating the necessary conditions to support students focused on continuing their academic career, and attracting them to study at the master's program.
