The Turkmen State Institute of Finance summed up the results of the Internet Olympiad in Economics among students of higher educational institutions of the country. The intellectual competition was organized in honor of the upcoming holiday - the Day of Science, which is celebrated annually in Turkmenistan on June 12.
More than fifty students from 13 universities of the country took part in the Olympiad. The competition of experts in economics provided an opportunity for students to show their abilities and talents, to demonstrate knowledge and training in the subject.
According to the results of the Olympiad, 4 winners and 22 prize-winners were named. The first places were shared between the International University for the Humanities and Development and the Turkmen State Institute of Finance. Two victories of MUGNiR were brought by Shirin Karaeva and Humai Gurbannazarova. Two more winners - Byagul Dzhumayeva and Ismail Dzhumaniyazov presented the university-organizer of the Olympiad.
Students of these universities were among the six second-place winners, who were joined by students of the Turkmen Agricultural Institute (TSHI) and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country (IMO MFA).
16 third places were taken by representatives of the two named universities - TSHI and IMO MFA, as well as the Oguzhan Engineering and Technology University, the Institute of Engineering and Transport Communications, the State Energy Institute, the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics, the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management, the Turkmen State Institute of Culture and International University of Oil and Gas named after Ya. Kakaev.
The Olympiad was held in the state language in the form of testing, which included 50 questions on macroeconomics, finance and credit, digital economy. Each correct answer was worth 2 points. Prize-winning places in the competition were distributed among the participants who scored the most points.
Based on the conditions of the competition, 4 students could speak from each university, which made it possible to determine the leading universities in the team standings based on the total score of the participants. According to these calculations, the winner is the International University for the Humanities and Development. The second place was awarded to the Turkmen State Institute of Finance, and the third place went to the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country.
The winners and prize-winners of the festive Olympiad were awarded diplomas of the corresponding degrees.
It should be noted that when preparing the testing questions, the organizers were based on the tasks set in the Program "Revival of a new era of a sovereign state: the National program of socio-economic development of Turkmenistan for 2022-2052". The intellectual competition was held as part of the implementation of the Concept for the Development of the Digital Education System in Turkmenistan.
The Olympiad was organized with the aim of identifying gifted, talented and capable students, stimulating educational, cognitive and research activities of young people, developing students' independent work skills, increasing their interest in science and strengthening interuniversity cooperation, including through information and communication technologies.
