Turkmen students - winners of the Universiade "Lomonosov"

Three students of domestic universities won prizes in the Universiade "Lomonosov" in linguistics, regional studies and cultural studies, organized by the Lomonosov Moscow State University.

In particular, students from Turkmenistan excelled at the Universiade in the direction of linguistics. The second place was won by Ainur Dzhumashova, a student of the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after D. Azadi. In the prestigious competition, Ainur brilliantly demonstrated her knowledge of the English language.

Two more second places were awarded to students of the Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan named after Oguzhan - Dzhumamurat Muradov and Khodjamurat Orazov. These winners of the Universiade showed excellent preparation in the Russian language.

The winners were awarded diplomas of the second degrees. It should be noted that the winners and prize-winners of the Universiade receive benefits when entering the master's and postgraduate studies of a Russian university.

Students from Turkmenistan take part in the annual Universiade "Lomonosov" for the fourth time. This academic year, students of the country's main linguistic university competed in English, German, Russian, French and Spanish. Students from other domestic universities participated in the Russian language competition.

Linguistics is one of the most popular areas of the Universiade among students. Intellectual competition is traditionally held in two stages. In the first qualifying round, participants are invited to write a thesis statement of an independent scientific research in linguistics. The second final round of the Universiade includes tasks in different foreign languages, depending on the chosen one. The intellectual and creative task in foreign languages is an obligatory part of the Universiade.

In general, the international review offers students a choice of taking part in four dozen subject areas and traditionally gathers thousands of experts in various sciences - university students from around the world.

Universiade "Lomonosov" is held in order to identify and support talented youth, develop the creative abilities of students, promote their professional growth, attract students to continue their studies in master's and postgraduate studies, increase the performance of talented students at international olympiads and competitions and strengthen ties between Russian universities, CIS countries and far abroad.
