The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan will soon host a regular meeting of the participants of the second season of the intellectual project for high school students of the country «Young Heralds of the World» organized by the university and the School of Young Diplomats as part of it.
The third game for the contestants is scheduled for February 21 this year. It will be devoted to the topic «The Cultural and Diplomatic Legacy of Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia: Peace Lessons for the Near and Middle East». Based on the thematic focus of the upcoming game, the project organizers recommend that participants familiarize themselves with the relevant literature. Its wide list is posted on the official website of the IIR of the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs www.iirmfa.edu.tm in the Announcements section.
In preparation for the game, the proposed literature will help participants expand their knowledge and get even closer to the entertaining history, diplomatic traditions, culture, politics of Ancient Egypt, Babylon, the states of Sumer and Akkad.
In addition, at this stage of preparing the players for the third meeting at the Higher School of Diplomacy, a thematic lecture was organized and fruitfully conducted. Within its framework, schoolchildren showed activity and curiosity, received exhaustive answers to questions of interest on the cultural and diplomatic heritage of Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. A history lesson for high school students was conducted by specialists from the Magtymguly Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.
Recall that the second season of the «Young Heralds of the World» project is held under the general theme «Dialogue is a guarantee of peace: a culture of peace in the diplomatic heritage of the ancient era». The content of the season includes four thematic games, each of which has 16 participants. The strongest and most capable players will meet in the final trials of the intellectual project.
