In honour of Day of workers of culture and art, the première of the performance “The Epoch that opens the path for perfection” with the participation of company of actors under guidance of People’s Artist of Turkmenistan Anna Melayev took place at Students’ Drama Theater named after Mollanepes. The troupe includes students of all courses of the faculty of the theatre art of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture. The performances “Cain and Abel” and “Leyli and Mejnun” by playwright Govshutgeldi Danatarov are in the repertoire of actors-beginners. This time, classical repertoire of troupe has been replenished with the performance to the modern topic presented in diversified manner in a new play of Bahtiyar Abayev.
Undoubtedly, student days are very happy period in life of the youth. Moreover, the action takes place among students of the Turkmen National Institute of Sports and Tourism. The characters of the play are boys and girls, whose will and excellent shape allows establishing sport records, winning prize places at prestigious international contests, defending the sport honor of our country. They involuntarily excite delight and desire of viewers to imitate them. Like in any other higher educational establishments of the country, life and study here never do without amusing incidents and surely, without love. Three loving couples: Rejep and Selbi (Serdar Artykov and Oguldurdy Orazguliyeva), Ballov and Maya (Sovhet Tachmammedov and Ayna Roziyeva), and Hakim and Lachin (Dayanch Mommatov and Nobat Hakiyeva) are in the center of attention. One of the most comic characters is hostel warden Hajar dayza (Gulsoltan Orazgeldiyeva), who strives to be well-informed about everything connected with her charges and often gets into funny situations.
- Production director Urmatkan Melayev tells: “The play wins over the audience with the fact that in the environment of students-sportsmen, there are also students from the Turkmen State Institute of Culture – the camera operator, who “hunts” for captivating moments in the contests for his graduate work and future dramatist, searching the prototype of a young sport hero for his play.
By the way, analogous situation was also traced in the work at our performance. So, staging of dance numbers in the performance was also graduate work for choreographer Parahat Kurbanov. Not imaginary but real tutors – Anna Melayev and Merdan Tuveleyev appeared in the role of halypa. This unusual “synthesis” attached pleasant creativity to the performance.
Musical design of the performance by People’s Artist of Turkmenistan Rejep Rejepov, numerous songs and dances made it bright and colorful that particularly pleases young people. Major contingent of spectators, who came to the premiere was the youth and certainly, students of the Turkmen National Institute of Sports and Tourism, who granted the creators of the performance with applause louder than others.
It is worth mentioning that today, sportsmen first turned out in the role of principal characters on the stage. But, by 2017, this topic will be surely opened before viewers more than once, because, with the approaching of Asian Indoor Games and Martial Arts in our country, its topicality will increase more and more.
