A solo exhibition has been opened at the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan to mark the 70th anniversary of the birth of the People’s Artist of Turkmenistan, Kakageldi Gurbangeldiyev. The artist has presented 170 paintings, all of them are about a village.

As a separate item of the visit programme to the United Kingdom, a meeting was held between the Turkmen delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, and Professor Timothy Williams of the Institute of Archaeology at University College London (UCL).
