In order to further improve the standard of living of our people, modern facilities equipped with the latest technology are being consistently commissioned across the country. One such facility is a water pumping station designed to increase water pressure, which was ceremoniously opened and put into operation on the territory of the “Dostluk” daikhan association in Charjev etrap of Lebap velayat.
This new facility is intended to supply clean drinking water to the residents of Azatlyk settlement in the city of Turkmenabat. The construction of the water pumping station was carried out by the private enterprise “ARK” under the order of the Capital Construction Department of the velayat khyakimlik.
The new facility occupies an area of 1.14 hectares and is designed to process 389 cubic meters of water per day. It includes four electric motors with a capacity of 132 kW each, two electric substations with a capacity of 630 kW to ensure uninterrupted power supply, as well as a backup diesel generator with a capacity of 500 kW.
The new drinking water station includes one covered reservoir with a capacity of 2,500 cubic meters and two covered reservoirs with a capacity of 1,000 cubic meters each for storing incoming clean water. The purified water is delivered here through a 15.1-kilometer pipeline from the “Lebapwelaýatagyzsuw” production association.
From the station, which is capable of pumping 4,500 cubic meters of water per day and increasing its pressure, clean drinking water is supplied over a distance of 4.3 kilometers to the settlement of Azatlyk — that is, directly to consumers.
The opening ceremony of the new facility was attended by employees of the velayat and city khyakimliks, representatives of relevant institutions and enterprises, deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, members of the older generation, and residents of Azatlyk settlement.
The festive ceremony took place in an atmosphere of general enthusiasm, during which sincere words of gratitude were expressed to the President of Turkmenistan.
