Turkmenistan is preparing to host one of its most anticipated international events of the year — International Conference “Development of the Construction, Industrial, Chemical and Energy Sectors of Turkmenistan. Held under the motto “Smart Construction. Clean Energy. Resilient Future.”, the forum will take place on 3–4 November 2025 in the scenic Awaza National Tourist Zone on the Caspian Sea, coinciding with the Day of Construction and Industry Workers of Turkmenistan.

Organized by State Concern “Turkmenhimiya”, the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan, the State Agency for Road Construction Management, and the Hyakimlik of Ashgabat City in partnership with the Turkmen Energy Forum, the event has become a flagship platform for dialogue and investment, uniting the country’s fast-growing construction, energy, chemical and industrial sectors. The 2025 edition brings together more than 1,080 delegates from 55 countries, including government representatives, investors, and senior executives from the world’s leading companies.

A Hub for International Cooperation

CIET 2025 underscores Turkmenistan’s growing role as a regional centre for green technology, industrial innovation and sustainable development.

The forum will open with the Plenary Session “The Future of Sustainable Investments and Mutually Beneficial Partnerships in Turkmenistan’s Construction, Industrial, Chemical, and Energy Sectors”. Discussions will explore how infrastructure, energy, and industry can serve as drivers of regional integration, economic resilience, and green innovation. The conference programme will include four high-level sessions:

2. Emerging Trends in Construction and Industry — Partnerships Driving Diversification.

3. The Role of Public-Private Partnerships in Advancing the Construction, Industrial, Chemical, Energy, and Road Infrastructure Sectors  

4. The Importance of Integrating Modern Innovative Technologies in the Construction, Industrial, Chemical, and Energy Sectors,and Developing a Skilled Young Workforce 

In parallel, B2B and B2G meetings will provide direct platforms for partnership building, while an international exhibition housed in a specially constructed pavilion will feature over 50 companies from the construction, industrial, and energy sectors — presenting the latest technologies, materials, and engineering solutions shaping the global market.

Awaza — A Symbol of Modern Turkmenistan

Hosting CIET 2025 in Awaza has both symbolic and strategic significance. The modern resort city on the Caspian coast has become a beacon of Turkmenistan’s progress — combining modern infrastructure, eco-friendly urban design and warm hospitality. Its conference venues and state-of-the-art facilities offer an ideal environment for international exchange and investment dialogue.

In parallel with the forum, a series of ceremonial openings and inaugurations will take place across western Turkmenistan to mark the professional holiday of construction and industry workers, including:

• the inauguration of the Garabogaz Bay automobile bridge;

• the ground-breaking of the Turkmenbashi–Garabogaz–Kazakhstan highway;

• the foundation-laying of a urea-production complex in Turkmenbashi district (capacity 1.155 million tons per year); and

• the launch of a water-treatment facility in Esenguly district (20,000 m³ per day).

These projects illustrate the Government’s commitment to balanced regional development, industrial modernization and sustainable management of the Caspian’s natural resources.

Building on the success of CIET 2024 in Ashgabat, this year’s forum broadens its scope to embrace digital transformation, smart-city technologies and advanced manufacturing.

New international participants include:

• DAMAC Properties (UAE) — presenting its vision for urban and tourism development projects in Turkmenistan;

• Bitdeer Technologies Group (Singapore) — pioneering AI-based industrial and data-center solutions;

• Wirtgen Group (Germany) and POSCO International (Republic of Korea) — introducing innovations in construction equipment and industrial supply-chains;

In cooperation with the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction, and the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, CIET 2025 will feature a dedicated programme on human capital development and STEM education. Workshops and training sessions will focus on digital skills, energy efficiency, and engineering innovation — preparing young professionals to lead the next phase of industrial growth in Turkmenistan.
