On the 1st of November, the State academy of arts of Turkmenistan held a grand opening ceremony for master classes in miniature painting and leaf gilding. The educational event was organised by the Iranian cultural centre at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Turkmenistan.

The ceremony was attended by Iranian cultural advisor Abdolreza Abbasi, vice-rector for academic affairs at the State academy of arts of Turkmenistan, as well as invited mentors – miniature artist Sayedeh Hashemi and gold leaf artist Najmeh Hosseini.
The speakers highlighted the successful experience of holding similar master classes in 2024 and noted that cultural ties between the two friendly and fraternal countries are strengthening every day. They also emphasised the need for regular similar events in both countries to further strengthen bilateral relations and give new impetus to cultural exchange.
Following the official part of the event, participants viewed an exhibition of works by Iranian specialists and Turkmen students who participated in the master class last year.

The guests then toured the «Golden Fund» exhibition of the State academy of arts of Turkmenistan. It features a collection of works of the best students of the Academy, completed over the years. The Iranian delegation was genuinely delighted by the display of art.
Undoubtedly, these new master classes will be a rewarding experience for young students and teachers. Master classes by specialists from the Islamic Republic of Iran will continue until 10th of November, offering a unique opportunity to learn and master this ancient art.
