Turkmenistan aims to expand cooperation with the United States in legislative activity

Turkmenistan views cooperation with the U.S. Congress as an important area in the development of bilateral relations. This interaction is aimed at exchanging experience in legislative activity and discussing key issues on the regional and international agenda. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stated this during a meeting with representatives of the United States Congress as part of his working visit to Washington.

The Head of State, recalling previous visits by members of Congress to Turkmenistan and the measures taken to expand inter-parliamentary cooperation, expressed confidence that the intensification of the established, fruitful ties between the legislative bodies of the two countries will contribute to mutual understanding and the strengthening of political contacts.

At the same time, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to developing cooperation with the United States of America in the political, economic, and humanitarian spheres.

In this context, the Head of State placed special emphasis on the fact that over ten years of constructive cooperation, the C5+1 partnership format has become an effective platform for discussing issues of security, economy, climate, and energy.
