From November 12 to 14, Ashgabat is hosting the XVIII International Exhibition and Scientific Conference “Türkmentel – 2025”, as well as the International Conference and Expo “International Transport and Transit Corridors: Interconnection and Development – 2025.”
On the sidelines of the event, Evgeny Chernyshov, General Representative of S7 Airlines (Russian Federation) in the Central Asian countries, spoke with a “GA” correspondent about the passenger carrier’s plans.
The airline representative emphasized that S7 aircraft have long been operating flights to cities in the Central Asian region, noting the company’s successful presence in this market. Chernyshov recalled that the first S7 flight on the Moscow–Ashgabat route took place in 2008, and added that the 20th anniversary of successful cooperation with Turkmenistan would soon be celebrated.
“At present, we operate seven flights per week on the Moscow–Ashgabat route and back. It is expected that starting next spring, we will open a new route from Ashgabat to Novosibirsk. This issue is currently under active consideration,” said Evgeny Chernyshov.
