On November 19, 2025, a telephone conversation was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia Tanja Fajon. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan. 

During the conversation, the sides discussed prospects for further strengthening the partnership across a wide range of bilateral relations, noting their mutual interest in expanding political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation.

It was noted that Turkmenistan and Slovenia effectively cooperate within international and regional structures, primarily the UN, as evidenced by their practice of mutual support for initiatives promoted by both sides.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on the upcoming International Forum of Peace and Trust, scheduled for December 12, 2025, in Ashgabat.
