At the Government meeting held via the digital system on November 21, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimyradov reported on the development of a draft Roadmap for regulating virtual assets and introducing mining technologies in Turkmenistan for the years 2026–2030.
According to the report, the document provides for the formation of the legal, technological, and organizational foundations for the functioning of the digital asset market in our country, as well as specific measures for their implementation, execution timelines, and responsible bodies.
The Roadmap also outlines areas related to studying international experience in this field, drafting relevant legislation, developing energy and communication infrastructure, attracting investments, and implementing pilot projects. Particular attention is given to cybersecurity, improving energy efficiency, and training qualified specialists in relevant fields.
In this regard, the draft Roadmap and a proposal to establish a special State Commission were submitted for consideration by the Head of State. Approving the submitted proposal on the introduction of digital technologies into the national economy, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the Vice Premier to carry out the necessary work.
The Roadmap was developed on the instruction of the Head of State, taking into account the recommendations of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag.
