During a government meeting on the digital system on the 21st of November, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan B. Seyidova reported on the implementation of the «State Program for 2022–2028 for the careful preservation, protection, and study of national historical and cultural heritage sites, and the attraction of tourists to them».
Thus, during the spring and autumn seasons of the current year, scientific research and restoration activities were successfully carried out at historical and cultural monuments.
In particular, work was carried out on the Paryzdepe monument, which is located in the Gokdepe etrap, in the Mane baba mausoleum, the medieval Juma-mosque in the Ancient Abiverd fortress, the Juma Mosque of the medieval settlement of Dehistan, the «Caravansaray» monument located in the Dashoguz velayat, in the Ancient Amul fortress, in the Dayahatyn caravansaray and the Akjagala caravansaray in the Mary velayat.
Preparations are currently underway to transfer finds discovered during archaeological research at historical and cultural monuments across the country to the State museum of the State cultural centre and the Arkadag museum of history and local history.
At the same time, in order to familiarise the international scientific community with the materials collected during the scientific research, the third issue of the specialised international scientific collection «Traces of the ages» has been prepared for publication.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the deputy prime minister to continue work on the scientific study and preservation of historical-cultural monuments of the country for future generations.
