Over the course of its five-thousand-year history, the Turkmen people have established numerous states and made a tremendous contribution to enriching universal human culture. As a result of excavations carried out on the territory of the country, Turkmen land has been recognized as the birthplace of some of the most ancient civilizations. This is clearly evidenced by the rich collections of the museums operating in our country.

On November21, the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan, which serves as a repository of valuable exhibits, together with the Ashgabat City Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, held a solemn award ceremony for the winners of an essay contest on the theme “History and Cultural Heritage of the Turkmen People.” The creative contest was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Motherland’s neutrality. The fact that the Turkmen State Institute of Culture, along with other higher educational institutions of our country that actively participated in the contest, was awarded an Honorary Certificate brought us, the students of this university, great joy and pride. It is especially gratifying that first place in the contest was won by Didar Rejepgeldiyev, a student of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture.
Speakers at the ceremony expressed their sincere gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, as well as to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, for creating in the country the conditions necessary for preserving, enriching, and promoting the historical and cultural heritage of our people, and for enabling Turkmen youth to contribute to the accomplishment of these tasks.
